Thursdays at L’Avventura come with a little extra at the table. We serve a selected pasta straight from half a wheel of parmesan, a dish that is as much about the experience as it is about the flavour.
The warm pasta is tossed in the cheese at the table, allowing the parmesan to melt around it and create an extra rich and creamy finish. The dish changes with the seasons and availability. Right now, we are serving our mafaldine with pancetta, sautéed mushrooms, cream, parmigiano reggiano and black truffle.
Pasta dalla forma is an Italian way of serving pasta, where freshly cooked pasta is mixed directly in a wheel of aged cheese for added flavour and creaminess. It draws on the Italian tradition of bringing pasta and aged cheese together at the final stage of preparation.
Pair it with something good in your glass and enjoy dinner in the historic dining rooms of L’Avventura.
