Instead of drawing inspiration from a specific region or island in Italy, the dishes and drinks this time are inspired by Little Italy in New York. Little Italy can be interpreted as a broader concept than just the New York neighborhood\u2014it refers to the strong influence Italians have had on cuisines around the world. And who better to explain the influence behind L\u2019Avventura\u2019s take on Little Italy than our Head Chef and Sicilian native Laura Marino, who was interviewed by <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dagens PS<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> about the theme of the month?<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cClassic Italy is caponata, vongole, simplicity. Little Italy is meatballs, casseroles, Alfredo. More meat, more cheese, more attitude. It\u2019s about what happened when Italian immigrants suddenly gained access to different ingredients\u2014and new possibilities.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 Laura Marino<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the month of May, Little Italy takes over L\u2019Avventura with added dishes that let the kitchen tap into imagination\u2014and most importantly, delicious creations inspired by New York\u2019s most Italian district. The menu features spicy meatballs, chicken parm, baked mussels, and generous platters.
