HISTORY

L’Avventura, formerly a grand cinema, is located in the heart of Vasastan and now houses two elegant bars and an impressive dining hall. The former theater auditorium forms the restaurant’s beating heart—the dining room—with six-meter-high ceilings, beautiful stucco details, and magnificent wall paintings by Nils Asplund. In the elegant Foyer and on the old Balcony, you’ll find the bars, where the entire venue has been carefully restored to its original state.

Here, you can experience the atmosphere of the cinema palace’s golden days in 1927 when it first opened its doors. The name L’Avventura is inspired by Michelangelo Antonioni’s classic 1960 film.
