Tuscan Flavours Take the Stage at L’Avventura in March

During the month of March, the focus turns to Tuscany as L’Avventura presents a new monthly theme inspired by the region’s classic cuisine. Tuscany is one of Italy’s most iconic food regions and is known for its rustic cooking where simple ingredients, clear flavours and solid craftsmanship are at the centre.

Tuscan cuisine has its roots in rural traditions where olive oil, grilled meats, fresh pasta and aged cheeses play the leading roles. The result is Italian food that is both generous and down-to-earth. With this themed month, L’Avventura aims to take guests on a culinary journey to Tuscany while continuing to be an obvious destination for those seeking Italian food in Stockholm.

During the period 3–28 March, a themed menu will be served where each dish reflects the flavours of the region.

The evening begins with the cocktail Tramonto Toscano, a creamy and citrus-scented drink with crème de cacao, Galliano L’Autentico, orange and cream. This is followed by the antipasto schiacciata with salame Toscano, pecorino and roasted garlic – a classic combination that reflects Tuscany’s love for bread, cured meats and aged cheeses.

The pasta dish Salsicciaragú is served with tagliatelle, salsiccia, white wine, butter and garlic, topped with breadcrumbs that add both depth and texture. As the main course, Italian Bistecca is presented, a generous grilled Italian dry-aged bone-in steak served with red wine sauce, arugula, cannellini beans and datterino tomatoes.

Dinner traditionally concludes with Vin Santo and cantuccini, a dessert that is just as natural in Tuscany as espresso after a meal.

The menu is served from 3–28 March at L’Avventura on Sveavägen 77.
